You may not realize it, but the person working right next to you may be a veteran or active service member of our armed forces. Veterans play an important role in our community and inside our workforce.
The employee resource group VALOR supports and welcomes veterans and their families. The organization offers a sense of comradery that can only be understood by others with shared experiences. VALOR also welcomes anyone who appreciates the selfless sacrifice of those who served our country.
In addition to providing important resources, VALOR takes part in events such as Parks’ Warriors Hike at El Cajon Mountain on Saturday. Members will also join those who honor veterans on Dec. 17, National Wreaths Across America Day, when 10,000 wreaths are placed on the graves of fallen veterans.
On this Veterans Day, VALOR would like to thank all those who served. And thank their friends and families for their support. Without that, veterans’ service would not be possible.
