San Diego County Fire Authority

From a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program graduate:

“Thankful for all of my training I’ve had with y’all. I wasn’t expecting to use it so soon. We’re in Portland on a trip and found a man seizing on the sidewalk this a.m. Two employees from a nearby business ran to help and together all of the steps flowed almost exactly like I learned to do until the paramedics were able to arrive. Thank you for teaching us well!”

Leo Moreno Gonzalez, Fuel Management Specialist

From a customer satisfaction survey regarding Leo Moreno Gonzalez with General Services:

"I would like to give a shout-out to Fuel Management Specialist Leo Moreno Gonzalez. My husband and I were vacationing in the area and decided to take a scenic drive in a borrowed MINI Cooper to The Lookout on Mt. Palomar. When we returned to the car, it wouldn't start and no one was around for miles - or, so we thought. We noticed some activity at the neighboring County property and my husband called out to see if anyone would answer. To our relief and food fortune, Leo answered the call. He first tried to jump-start the car with a small charger unit and, when that didn't work, he took the time to locate jumper cables at a nearby firehouse and quickly return to rescue us. He was SO helpful and friendly. We simply can't say thank you enough for his assistance. He's the best!!"
