Rewind: Watch the D&I Showcase

Did you miss the D&I Champion Showcase?  Want to revisit some of the ideas that were shared? You can watch the event above. The May 25th lunchtime event featured diversity and inclusion presentations from departments across the County with featured presenters from PSG (Probation), LUEG (Planning & Development Services), HHSA (D&I Transformation Team), FG3 (Clerk of the Board) and the Employee Resource Group (ERG) Council.

Take Chicano Park Mural Tour with SDCLA

Join our San Diego County Latino Association ERG for a cultural arts and history tour of the murals at Chicano Park in Barrio Logan on Saturday, June 5.  This is a fun and educational family event. Everyone is welcome!

The gathering starts at 1:30 p.m. in the park. After the tour, participants can walk over to shop, eat and support Latino-owned small businesses in Logan Heights at the “Walk the Block” event just a few steps from the park.

Get Your COVID Vaccine: County Employees and Families Event Wednesday, May 26 at COC

Help keep the workplace and your home healthy. Get your COVID-19 vaccination! The County will host a vaccination event for employees and their families from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26 in the Chambers room at County Operations Center in Kearny Mesa.  

The free event will offer Johnson & Johnson vaccines for adults. Pfizer vaccines will be available for 12- to 17-year-olds. Pfizer vaccinations will require a follow-up vaccination. 

Appointments are recommended. You can make an appointment by going to MyTurn.ca.gov and following these instructions:  Just answer a few questions, look for the “access code” box at the bottom of the page and enter this access code: BBC47JRD1B. That will take you to the page where you can make the appointment for Wednesday’s clinic.

Remember to bring your work badge with you!

Attend SDCLA’s Paint Night Fundraiser

Make your own masterpiece while supporting the San Diego County Latino Association’s scholarship fund. Attend the employee resource group’s Paint Night Fundraiser on June 11.
